Hello!! Sorry for the intrusion, hehehe. My name is Felipe, and until recently, I have been editing games for the Spectrum on cassette. Due to personal and work reasons, I’m going to stop editing, and I'm saying goodbye with a compilation of homebrew games for The Spectrum on USB. I want it to be the best and most complete compilation of homebrew games that has ever been made. It will be a non-profit edition, just to provide users of The Spectrum with a pack to spend hours and hours in front of their ZX. I’ve seen some of your games on http://Itch.io and wanted to ask if you would be interested in contributing any of your ZX games to this compilation. I already have legendary creators from the scene on board, but I’d also like to reach out to you. It can be one game, two, or as many as you want, in .TAP format. Even simply granting me permission and letting me know which games I could include would be enough, and I can download them from http://Itch.io. We have created a system where the games will be encrypted, and no one will be able to use them digitally; they will only be playable on their The Spectrum, Divide, or computer. My email is playonretro@gmail.com. Best regards, and thank you very much

Very nice TETRIS with some well-know chip tunes (Jean-Michel Jarre, Rob Hubbard, etc.). Our German-language review can be found in our recorded livestream starting at 03:41:08. English subtitles are also available. Subscription to our YouTube and Twitch channel is welcome. 🙂

Danke schön!

I saw a debugger in your video. Probably It's a bug. What emulator do you use? Any ideas what you did before it happened? I don't know German.

I can reassure you. 🙂 It wasn't a bug, but rather accidentally opening the debugger in "Speccy" with the "F1" key. I actually wanted to go back to the title screen and didn't know which key to use to do that.

Really good Tetris for the ZX Spectrum. I also included it in my new "Gameplay of New ZX Spectrum games from February 2025" video, along with other recently released games. Hope you enjoy the video.

Thanks a lot!

Good fun :)

Thanks!

I got to level 48, where there is a time limit, I have to destroy bricks and remove 2 2lines. Is it really possible to finish it?

What a progress! Wow! Yes, I checked every level in game. Please tell me first what sound mode (key 4 in menu) did you use to play?

I should check it once more.

Have you seen anything resembling Easter egg yet?

You probably will hate me and this game, but I told you that it's possible to finish level 48 (red fox) with 10 seconds remaining providing you are selecting 48K sound modes from menu.

Yes, it takes lots of attempts and luck. Perhaps too much. I should make it easier.

I had selected "128K MUSIC 50 FPS".  With 48K sound is slower.

Brilliant game, here is my tribute !

Thank you so much for this review! It's the only long video with commentary and kempston joystick demonstration as far as I know.

Great work. There are many mediocre Tetris games for the 8-bit micros, but this one plays really well. I have 2 suggestions: a CPU opponent, and sending garbage lines to the other player.

Thanks!

CPU opponent was my dream for many years. It's theoretically possible, there are several known algorithms, but not an easy task to do with 8-bit assembler.

The amount of code for the CPU opponent can be compared to the game in current state.

The other factor is algorithm speed. It should be quite fast and clever enough in the same time.

Sending garbage lines was one of unimplemented features.

Thanks so much for making this! And yeah a simulated vs mode ... sorry to heap on the dream pile but :3 ... but anyway, I adore it as it is! <3

Nice game!

Thank you!

Great game, thanks.

Please select "128K music, 48K sounds" mode in menu if you need beeper sound effects
